A coalition of anti-illegal immigration groups has vowed to work together toward common goals after meeting at a conference in Las Vegas.

As WorldNetDaily reported, a radical anti-American group working for the establishment of a separate Hispanic nation in the southwest U.S. threatened attendees of the conference, which was held May 27-29, saying Mexican food workers might cause "Montezuma's Revenge" among those they serve.

Rather than a debilitating illness, the attendees came away with certain points of actions the leadership of several groups agreed to pursue. According to a statement from the Wake Up America Foundation, which sponsored the event, those actions are:

  • "To form a national organization designed to unify the movement and to increase cooperation and communication among immigration reform groups across America;
  • "To engage in the 2006 election cycle on the local, state and federal levels in what will be the year of the illegal immigration issue; and
  • "To immediately engage in unified efforts to secure America's borders, crack down on employers of illegal aliens and to block any amnesty legislation."

Said the statement: " Immigration reform leaders are rushing to organize the rapidly rising movement in America to address illegal immigration. The leaders also agreed to continue a dialogue on unifying strategies via electronic meetings."
